Michael Barrios, Ph.D.

Dr. Barrios is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist treating adults, adolescents, and children.  He was formerly a psychologist at the Adolescent Crisis Unit for Treatment and Evaluation (ACUTE) at the Hospital of St. Raphael (1989-95).  Dr. Barrios currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine (1989-present) and as clinical collaborator on a treatment research project on substance abuse at the APT Foundation (1987-present).  Dr. Barrios specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and adolescent behavioral problems, and in issues related to adult development and creativity.

Kim DeMatteo, L.C.S.W.

Ms. DeMatteo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who practices psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, and children. Among her past experiences, Ms. DeMatteo worked as a program director for children's services in Washington State (1986-89) and as a social worker at HOSPICE of Southeastern Connecticut (1990-94). She serves currently as family outreach coordinator and group facilitator for the SIDS Network, Inc., based in southeastern Connecticut. Ms. DeMatteo has specialized expertise in loss and bereavement issues, and women's mental health issues.

Lisa Silberstein, Ph.D.

Dr. Silberstein is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist treating adults and adolescents.  Her past experiences include serving as Clinical Director of the Yale Eating Disorders Clinic (1987-91) and Assistant Director of the Yale Psychological Services Clinic (1983-85). She has published and lectured widely on women's mental health issues. Currently, Dr.Silberstein serves as Clinical Supervisor in the Yale Department of Psychology (1987-present). Dr. Silberstein has specialized expertise in women's mental health, eating disorders, depression and anxiety, and work/family issues.

Ms. Ruggiero is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Nurse treating adolescents and adults. Her experiences include Program Director for the Adolescent Partial Hospital Program at the Yale Psychiatric Institute.  Ms. Ruggiero specializes in the treatment of adolescents, adults, couples and families.  Additionally, as a hospice nurse she has expertise in issues related to loss and transition.

Stuart B. Fisher, Ph.D.

Dr. Fisher is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist treating adults, adolescents, and children.  He is the former Clinical Director of the Valley Mental Health Center in Ansonia, CT (1994-96) and previously served as the assistant department head of the Mental Health Department at the Groton (CT) Naval Hospital (1990-94) after completing his internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD (1989-90).  Dr. Fisher is a member of the staff of the Department of Psychiatry at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital (1995-present).  He specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder, the cognitive treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders, men's mental health issues, emergency services personnel issues, behavioral medicine, and childhood and adolescent behavioral disturbances.

Suzanne M. Derry, Ph.D.

Dr. Derry is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over twenty-five years of experience treating children, adolescents, and families.  She has formerly served as Director of Training in Psychology at the Newington Children's Hospital (now Connecticut Children's Medical Center), as Chief Pediatric Psychologist at the University of Connecticut Medical Center, and has provided consultation services to schools and the courts.  She is currently on the Medical Staff of Connecticut Children's Medical Center and serves as as Special Master for the Regional Family Trial Docket.  Dr. Derry specializes in a broad range of behavioral and adjustment difficulties, including those involving medical issues.

Kamilla Gardner, L.M.F.T.

Ms. Gardner is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut and California and a Diploma Psychologist in her native country of Germany. Ms. Gardner is treating children and adults. She worked for Child and Family Services and for the Department of Education in Hawaii, providing therapy services for children with special needs, for gifted children and their families. Ms Gardner specializes in adult relational problems, life in transition and developmental disorders.
